# Extend a scene

Extend uses the source clip as continuity context, commonly by using the last frame as the next generation reference. It is useful when you want a talking-head shot to continue, a product movement to finish, or a scene to transition into a second beat.

Keep the extension prompt connected to the previous clip. If the source scene shows `@Actor` holding `@Product`, the extension prompt should continue that action rather than introduce a totally new setting, outfit, or product.

If the extension drifts, shorten the prompt, reduce new details, use a stronger reference, or split the idea into a separate scene. Extend is for continuity, not for changing the entire visual premise.
