# B-roll

Use b-roll for product close-ups, app screen recordings, lifestyle shots, before/after proof, customer reactions, packaging details, or transition moments. B-roll can make an ad feel more credible and less static.

Name b-roll by subject, such as `@Broll_AppWalkthrough`, `@Broll_ProductPour`, or `@Broll_BeforeAfter`. In a prompt, tell Ava why the b-roll appears: `Cut to @Broll_AppWalkthrough while the voiceover says @Body_Demo.`

Short, focused b-roll is better than long raw footage. Trim or select the most relevant part before using it heavily.
